In The Word Wednesday

Hello everyone! Last month I saw a project on Pinterest of a wall hanging that listed family rules with Bible verses.  I loved this idea! I thought it was fitting with the new year.  I showed it to my family and we came up with our own list.  This is our list with Bible verses.

Burgett Family Rules

#1.  Love God
Deuteronomy 6:5 " Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."

#2.  Count Your Blessings
1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

#3.  Always Be Honest
Proverbs 12:22  "The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy."

#4.  Listen and Obey The First Time
Proverbs 3:5-6  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

#5.  Be Kind
Ephesians 4:32  "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

#6.  Work Hard
Colossians 3:23  "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."

#7.  Forgive and Forget
Colossians 3:13  "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

#8.  Have Fun
Proverbs 15:13  "A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit."

One day I hope to create my own wall hanging for our house.  Do you have any family rules with Bible verses? Feel free to share!

Don't forget to check out the challenges for this month.  We would love for you to enter the challenges!

Have a great day!
