Hey hey hey.... :D Helen is here! Every 15 minutes each of our DT members posts one challenge starting at 8 A.M. EST. Scroll up to see the challenge #1, #2, #3 and #4 to play and join the fun!

This is our Mini Crop Challenge #5 for today. I challenge you to create any projects using this color palate:

Here's my first take on this challenge using Bev's Sketch, I tweak a little bit from the sketch:

I used Pathfinding Scrapbooking Kit from Close To My Heart to make this card. I used Woodgrain Embossing Folder to emboss the background.

And one more... I created a digital scrapbook layout using Jen C Designs new collection kit, My Story September and Memory Makers Template Vol.11

So what does come in your mind the first time you see this color palate?

Now, it's your turn. Feel free also to use the sketch to create your project, the important thing is use the color pallette I provided for you. After you create your project, here's how you can link up with our Mini Crop Challenge:
  • Use the Inlinkz button on the side bar to link up your project/s. Please link directly from your blog post (not your general blog) or directly from any of your gallery.

Here are the wonderful ladies that will be bringing you challenges and inspiration starting with our mini-crop and then regularly scheduled posts beginning October 1st.

Alicia Redshaw
Designer/Sketch Designer

Hi! My name is Alicia Redshaw and I live in Gladstone, Queensland (Australia). I am married to the most amazing man (Quentin), and we recently celebrated 21 years of love, happiness and being together. We share three beautiful and talented children, who are our reason for living the life we live. I have been scrapbooking for over twelve years and teaching scrapbooking and card making for nearly as long. For the last three to four years I have also been teaching Copic coloring and Mixed Media Art Classes too! I create a range of projects and styles from simple cards to grungy scrapbook layouts to mixed media art canvas' and almost everything in-between. I am thankful everyday for the blessings of my family and my creativity.

Bev Code
Sketch Designer

I was new to online scrapping since Apr 2009. There are so many sites. My name is Bev Code and I have been scrapping about 5 years. I am a wife, mother and gramma that loves being retired and now have time to scrap to my heart's content. I love scrapbooking along with fun things it entails with online friends, forums and FB. The learning process has been interesting and creative also. Other crafts I love also are needlepoint, sewing, knitting, crochet and taking lots of photos. Family and friends are the subjects of my scrapping along with nature, ancestry and vacation sites. I live in Conestogo, Ontario and spend some time in Florida where I take my scrapping with me for the extended time. I am super excited to join this fabulous group and share my sketches. Can't wait to get to know everyone better.

Cara Goedeking
My name is Cara Goedeking. I live in Boise, Idaho, USA with my sweet little family--husband of 12 years, Peter, and my 8-1/2 year old daughter, Ellie. Three years ago we moved here to Boise to help plant a church and God has done amazing things. We are a church body dedicated to outreach, and our group is currently serving the homeless community of downtown Boise...a challenging but rewarding experience. My love of paper crafting started over 15 years ago with stamping and card making (still one of my favorite things to do!). I started scrapbooking in 2005 when Ellie was born and love being able to be creative while documenting our family's special moments. I have been a member of this design team for the past two years, and I love that I get the privilege of being creative and sharing God's love through this blog.

Debbie Reed

"Hi...I'm Debbie Reed. I live in the USA, state of Minnesota. I've been married for 28 years and we have two adult children ages 26 and 22. I have been a born again believer in Christ my Lord and Savior for about 30 some years now. I love to sew and I have always loved doing crafts...I have all of my life, from first learning how to knit as a young girl, to my mom teaching me how to crochet. From there it just bloomed :-) I really like trying new, different craft projects. My interest in card making really took off a few years ago. I really enjoy making cards for people, it is such a joy. I love to share my faith in the cards that I make, scrapbook layouts, and other media...I'm always learning new things. I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful Christian blog, and look forward to making many new friends here."

Helen Gullett

I am married to an amazing, loving husband and we are blessed with 2 active and sweet daughters. Recently we live in Ohio since 2008 and in preparation to move overseas for a long term ministry. We are so excited with this opportunity God has for us. As family, we love to hang out, going camping, and hiking. I also like music, books, blogging, coffee, dark chocolate, ice cream and ethnic food.

My all time verse is from Philippians 2:13 "For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." And I am thankful for God has given me this desire to create with a mission, that is to please Him, declare His name and glory through my handworks.

I started scrapbooking in 2008 with a scrap-journal for our wedding and short mission trip stories. Then after our first daughter was born, I started her first year scrapbook album in 12x12 layouts. Then in later in 2010, I discovered digital scrapbooking which I also love! I fell in love with making cards in 2011 when I made invitations for our daughter's 2nd birthday party. I really enjoy every process of it and have been making cards for friends and families. My oldest has been making cards with me, too.

My church friends and I love getting together for craft night out - it's kinda like our ladies night out. We get together to share new crafty ideas and making them together, this when we teach each other and having fun!

Let's get connected with me at:

Katy Donaldson Taylor

I'm am married to my soul mate. I'm a mother to three sons that keep me busy and a daughter that keeps life interesting. I'm a working mother by day and a papercrafter by night. I've been crafty since I was a little girl...spending Spring Breaks and Summers with my grandmothers who were artists in their own way. I grew up sitting in the pews of old Country Churches, drawing on the bulletins. I officially started scrapbooking in high school which was very primitive to say the least. I've been a Close To My Heart Consultant for 12 years and love it! On weeknights and weekends, in the midst of all the chaos, you can find me in my scrapbook room getting creative!

Leah Burgett

Hello everyone! My name is Leah Burgett. I live in a small town outside of Birmingham,Alabama. I am married to a wonderful man, who supports my hobby of scrapbooking. I have an amazing son, Noah who is the light of my life and my precious gift from God. I work as an aide with special needs children in an elementary school. I am a Christian. I believe that everyday God teaches me and lifts me up. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

Paula Jennings
Designer/New Owner

I'm Paula Jennings, born again believer for over 30 years. I have two growing/nearly grown sons, Robert age 21 and Thomas nearly 16. I lived nearly all my life in New Jersey except for a brief time in the Poconos a few decades ago. I moved almost 3 years ago to Delaware and I love it here. I have always been artsy/craftsy doing many things - crocheting, needlepoint, cross stitch, quilting etc until I discovered scrapbooking 17 years ago. At that point I basically put everything else to the sidelines. I think it was about 8 years ago I started making cards and 3 years ago doing art journaling and mixed media. I just love creating all things paper. I am a messy crafter and nearly always have paint or ink stains on my hands. I just recently added a non-paper craft to my repertoire - loom knitting. So far I have done a scarf and have started a hat for my son. A lot of my cards are donated to my church for a ministry to our shut-ins and those who are ill. I have been a part of SEM for quite awhile first as a player and then as a DT. I love being able to combine my love for the Lord with the artistic gifts He has blessed me with. I work part time at a ministry that feeds the hungry and homeless that is located in my church and I would like to start a ministry using art to help abused women and children in the healing process. I am very honored to have the founder, Nicole Griggs Brenna offer me ownership of this wonderful blog.
