Challenge #20 - Let's hear it for the boys!

Hello dear friends! It's Einat here and I'm so happy to bring you this month's challenge all the way from the hot and sunny holy land!

Each of us has a special boy or a man in our life, someone we cherish, someone we love. Let's celebrate this special someone by creating a layout dedicated to them. It can be a layout about a father, telling a story about a childhood memory, or about a husband and the special connection we have. You can share a funny story about your child or even create a layout for a friend.

In Judaism a boy is a special blessing from God, it's a confirmation of the covenant between God and Abraham that was tested When God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his son. This is why all the boys and men in our lives are not only our personal blessing, but also a reminder of a greater miracle.
So let's hear it for the boys and the great/annoying/wonderful thing they do!
Scrap twist: you must use at least two different shapes of photos on your layout. For example: square and circle, oval and star etc.

And here are the layouts our Design Team created (hover your mouse over the picture to see what each Design Team member has to say about their project).

Our sponsor this month is The Card Kitchen!

Welcome to a new monthly CARD kit club -- The Card Kitchen. Each month brings you a kit chock full of products that coordinate together to create at least 8 fabulous cards designed by the famous Kimber McGray. It is like receiving a card class on your doorstep every month. Each kit includes a full, detailed set of instructions to create 8 cards. Note that you will have a ton of product left over to create additional cards or projects. Everything will come to you un-cut so you can use the products as you see fit if you don't want to create the sample cards.

We also have some fabulous guest card makers including Go-To PaperCrafts Girl, Teri Anderson every month and an additional surprise guest designer each month. So you will have a ton of great card inspiration on top of the 8 cards included in the kit.

We've got a great website full of lots of information find us here: Finally, make sure you check the blog frequently here: That's where we'll be showing sneak peeks of the upcoming kits, and sharing who the guest designer is for the month. So stop by and say hello we would be happy to have you.
The ladies at The Card Kitchen have kindly donated a fabulous card kit as our prize for this month! You don't want to miss out on a chance to win - look at all this scrappy goodness!

Plus the DT will pick their top 3 layouts from all the entries... those layouts will be displayed in our Winners post October 6th.

Remember all layouts must be linked up by September 30th 11:59pm PST.  Make sure your link is to the blog post with your project and not just your blog in general. ;-) And be sure to incorporate the scrap twist!

Great challenge! I linked up just in case my layouts might give some inspiration to someone....but, I don't need to be included in the contest...I misinterpreted the challenge to be shapes on the layout in general and missed the detail of shaped PHOTOs. Ooops. It's ok! I loved getting a couple boy pages done. Thanks for the inspiration!

Great inspiration as always! I think Nicole's was my favorite.

After linking I realized I missed thw twist - I did use two different orientations, though (vertical and one long and narrow horizontal). Sorry.

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this site. It's simple, yet effective.

A lot of times it's very difficult to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you have done a amazing job with this. Also, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Safari. Superb Blog!
